WTB Vulpine 29er Tyre | $50
BikeRadar verdict
"Light, fast-rolling summer tyre for hardpack conditions"
The latest 29-inch offering from WTB, the Vulpine is a fast-rolling semi-slick tyre that can handle Tarmac as well as hardpack trail. However, while the Vulpine can handle a bit of rain, it’s no friend to UK mud.
The Vulpine tyres have a generous cushion of air, offering loads of comfort for all-day rides – and the 620g weight is fair given their size.
They’re fast, too; the central tread pattern rolls almost silently on forest trails and Tarmac, with a set of outer lugs that bite in on looser corners.
As a combo, they work nicely on the back with an aggressive tyre up front.
Available in 26in and 29in flavours.
