Panaracer Ribmo Tyre | $32.29
BikeRadar verdict
"Among the toughest, decent-rolling city tyres..."
The Panaracer RiBMo is almost as tough as any Kevlar-reinforced tyre we’ve tested, although not up there with Schwalbe’s Marathon Plus.
Rolling performance is good for urban mountain bikes and easy-paced rides but for street road bikes and fixies we prefer more pep from tyres like Michelin’s Krylion Carbon.
Very much a street/touring tyre with quite a thick, stiff, smooth tread, it’s puncture reinforced bead to bead with ‘Protex’, an 800 denier cord woven with vinyl thread.
It comes in 25, 28, 32 and 35mm widths in 700c wheel size, and 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75in for 26in wheels. Sidewalls lack dynamo track or reflectives.
If you're wondering, RIBMO stands for ‘RIde Bicycle MOre’. Yeuch. At leastthe tyre's better than the acronym.
