Scott Fuga Road helmet review£80.00

Sharp and speedy style makes this a seriously good race choice

The sharp and speedy style of the Fuga is instantly pleasing and the smooth rounded lines found favour with the race set.

The Fuga features a total of 27 vents all backed with the extra support of an internal frame. There are no big air scoops at the front but air flow and cooling doesn't suffer thanks to the massive side vents and the large openings at the rear.

The Fuga sits well on the head and we'd place it closely to the shape of a Giro design. The supporting cradle has plenty of adjustment but it can be a bit fiddly to use.

One clever feature, which is optional on the Road helmet, is the Magneto Visor System. The visor attaches to the helmet using magnets hidden under the helmet's shell. It's a great idea and we'd easily recommend the visor for road use. It's small enough not to obstruct vision or look out of place, and just the right size to deflect rain and a bright sun.

Although £90 is a lot for a helmet, the Scott Fuga has all the race credentials of more expensive rivals and is a seriously good choice.
