Scott Fuga Contessa Helmet | $175
BikeRadar verdict
"A proper women’s helmet for proper riders. Highly recommended"
Looks can be deceiving, and all our testers initially passed over the ‘distinctive’ Fuga Contessa. Once testing started, however, it became a real favourite. This is a sleek, cool lid for every ride.
Fit, comfort and ventilation all turn out to be excellent. A simple ratchet system deals with retention duties, and all three sizes are glove-like, suiting slender heads best.
The series of interlocking vents ensures an icy-cool feel, and although there’s little rear coverage, that’s fine for cross-country use where air flow is key. Padding extends right to the back for comfort and features like the magnetic peak add to the value.
