Big frontal vents and deep internal channels give impressive wind rush across your scalp, with a range of smaller vents at the top and back to suck the hot air out into space. Also, while the visor is slightly simpler, you still get the same 15 degrees of vertical beak adjustment for sun visor tuning. Inside it also shares the same excellent Roc Loc 4 retention cradle and Coolmax pad arrangement, which give a fantastically comfortable and secure fit. In fact, it's difficult to tell which lid you're wearing in terms of comfort or ventilation, which with a £20 cheaper price tag has to be a great recommendation for the Animas. The only fl y in the ointment is that the Animas is even heavier than the E2, with our sample clocking a whopping 360g - nearly 100g heavier than the lightest helmets on test.
