Giro Indicator

BikeRadar verdict
"With Giro's technologies, the Indicator punches well above its price point"
Shopping partners
For a helmet at this price, it's amazing what the Indicator has to offer in terms of looks, style and function. It certainly looks like it should cost a whole lot more and, fortunately, it's not all looks and no trousers - it also offers great protection and airflow through 20 vents.
The fit is good, using Giro's Acu Dial twist wheel to adjust it to your head. While this is easy enough to use, factory fresh helmets can be a little sticky to adjust. With this lid, one size fits all in the 54-61cm range so there's little worry about buying the wrong size. It comes with a snap-fit visor that can be removed if you prefer the racer look. With the Indicator tipping the scales at 276g it's a winner al round, feeling light and comfortable to wear.

Had this helmet for year and a half now with no probs. I've ridden all year round and had my fair share of crashes so it's been well tested..

great helmet, had an over the bars at high speed and the helmet did its job and saved my head, the helmet absorbed the crash and split in two but i didn't even have a headache after the crash. All round a great well-ventilated helmet that does its job perfectly and for the price is truly exceptional

Just got the '09 version in black and pewter and it looks great. Light, well ventilated and comfortable can't find anything to complain about which is unusual!!

I got one yesterday, and it is the most comfortable helmet i have ever owned, well ventilated, while being light, not to expensive and has a brilliant build quality, luckily haven't crash tested it yet.
