MET Kaos Helmet review

BikeRadar verdict
"Lightweight trail lid that occupies unusual territory and suits long mountain days"
Sitting within the substantial overlap between cross-country and freeride, the Kaos offers the low weight of a racier model with some of the extra coverage of a trail lid. It doesn’t have as much internal channelling to move the air through as some helmets, but the 22 large vents go some way to making up for the lack of air con.
The peak is fixed, thankfully in just the right place, and there were reflective stickers on the back of our stealth grey demo version for visibility in the dark.
Our only quibble is that accessing the Safe-T-X ratchet adjuster is rather fiddly because it’s tucked away under the extended shell at the back of the helmet, which doesn’t really make much sense to us.
