Fenwicks FS-1
BikeRadar verdict
"A workshop basic that’s really outstanding value, too"
Shopping partners
Fenwicks’ FS-1 Bike Cleaner may appear expensive on a like-for-like quantity basis, but you can either use it as a concentrate to shift determined gunge on chains, cassettes and the like, or dilute it with one part FS-1 to 10 parts water to use as an all-purpose bike cleaner.
Once you’ve done that, it provides a good, no-frills level of cleaning, but it will require some rub-a-dubbing on your part. It won’t discolour any of your components, and it leaves your bike clean and shiny with no residue.
We didn’t like the dropper for concentrated application, but the large-size availability, which you can decant and dilute into a cheapo container (or a rinsed-out household cleaner bottle), has to be a good thing in terms of minimising resource use. And once you’re done with the big bottle, it can be recycled.

Even really dilute this stuff works as well or better than any of the other brands I've tried.
With frequent use it does not peel off your decals/paint/skin either. Great stuff. Works a treat on your alloy car wheels too.

This stuff is the dogs. Miles better than Muc Off and it will save you a fortune too. A bottle lasts me over a year, and I clean my bike after every winter ride (normally 2 to 3 times a week).
It's worth keeping hold of an old Muc Off bottle and spray to dispense this stuff.
Only problem is finding somewhere which sells it.

Great stuff, at least as good as Muc-Off and a fraction of the price considering you dilute it 10-1.

It's good alright and if you're struggling to get hold of it like djayuk you can get it from Edinburgh Bicycle Coop or Fenwick's own website.
