"Good function and build quality combined in one affordable unit"

For its second incarnation, the Air Tower gets a welded steel barrel and base, along with both Presta and Schrader valves.

The new T-handle design is comfy to use and has small storage drawers, for items such as patch kits and tyre levers, built into the ends.

The gauge rates up to 140psi and while you’re never going to get quite the same level of accuracy from an analogue gauge as you would from a digital number, the Blackburn seems to be pretty precise.

A bonus, if you need it, is that it has a fairly long hose and the valve head is a simple and functional design. It works well too.

Although we’d like the base to be a little more stable forwards and backwards, it’s hard to fault what is otherwise a very good pump at a good price.

    I have tested this pump, one thing I do not like is... it tends to release air pressure when you let go of the lock instead of holding it. It takes a little bit of practice to find its sweet spot when releasing the valve so it will not let go of any air.

    I do must say: this pump is intended for females, it is very smooth to pump even at 100 psi levels, it does maintain a steady pressure rate throughout the pump cycle. Compared to other pumps that get very difficult the more air is on the tire. It is solid and strong, recommended!

    I think the air release is just what's in the pipeline and not from the tyre.
