Colnago Track pump
BikeRadar verdict
"Colnago cachet is nice, but it's pricy for a basic steel-bodied track pump"
This is a perfectly decent standard track pump, but it really doesn't have anything to set it apart from dozens of similar pumps except that it says 'Colnago' on the barrel. If you're dedicated to Uncle Ernesto and all his works, you'll want this for your collection, but there are lots of other options for similar money.
It took 33 strokes to inflate a 23mm tyre to 100psi, a fair performance.
There's a robust steel barrel, so it should last well, and pressed-steel, plastic-coated feet that seem a bit small at first. However, they're not going to snag and catch as much if you use this as a portable pump for race outings.
The gauge is down at the bottom of the barrel, which is the simplest place to put it – no need for extra tubes and structure to get it higher. It's clear and easy to read with a yellow background under the numbers.
The Presta-only thumb-lock chuck seals well and again is nice and simple, which seems to be the theme here – keep it simple so it'll be reliable.
