BikeRadar verdict

4.5 out of 5 stars

"Style and function in a neat and shiny package"

The Micro Floor Drive is a halfway house between track pump performance and pack portability – a stylish, scaled-down foot pump for maximum efficiency and trail repair glitz.

By flipping out the little foot peg you can stand the pump on the ground like a track pump and use your bodyweight for extra muscle.

Despite the flimsy footstand and sharp-edged handle, the smooth, long stroke got us up to pressure rapidly enough.

The push-fit, screw-on chuck is slower to fit but is secure once on and makes switching between valve types a breeze, although it didn’t like grit.

  • anyone fancy buying me a present?

  • hmmmm .... my mountain morph is getting a bit "worn"

  • bomberesque

    "hmmmm .... my mountain morph is getting a bit "worn""

    hmmm... my was too, but now have this little beauty !!! does what it says on the tin and has trail side appeal .....

  • this pump is a let down - literally. the the srcew down joint at the valve end leaks air while pumping and if left on an inflated tube will let it down. this happend on both the pump i bought and its replacement .

  • I have one of these - the road version without gauge, firstly it's beautifully designed - it looks quite incredibly well. However 'looks quite incredibly well' is perhaps a moot point if it doesn't do its job (as a bicycle pump) well, unfortunately (unless you treat it as a mini-pump) it's a waste of space - with a hose connection I had big expectations - perhaps unrealistic 'expectations'.

    In essence the pump takes forever to inflate tyres - on the day of writing this review a 1.25 inch by 26 inch mountain bike tyre. From experience - for a more hassle free life (unless you're big into the aesthetics of the pump and never actually use it as a pump) I'd recommend Specialized's £10 road pump or a full size Blackburn pump - each to their own of course. To be fair to Lezyne they do market it as a 'micro floor drive pump' be warned though it really is 'micro'...

  • OK, so I bought one .... It pumps stuff up fine *is* as shiny as it looks ... but;

    - handle is dreadfully uncomfortable

    - The screw on valve adapter is a royal pain and can "grab" removable valve stems unscrewing them as you remove it, which is pretty much the fastest way to let the air out of your freshly pumped up tyres, short of knifing them ... which is what you'll feel like doing when you're covered in wheelmilk with a flat tubeless tyre at the beginning of your ride

    - The pressure gauge (which I'm fairly sure is the road gauge with less gradiations on it) isn't accurate enough .. however this is a fairly common complaint

    To Leyzene; reshape the handle and sort out the valve connection please. Until then I'd have to say the mountain Morph is a better pump
