Park Tools PCS9 - Home Mechanic Repair Stand
BikeRadar verdict
"An ideal first workstand: good value, no-nonsense"
All you really need from a workstand is that it holds your bike firmly, at the right height, without damaging it. The PCS9, Park’s cheapest stand does exactly that.
The clamp height can be changed from 99 to 145cm and you can rotate it through 360 degrees to grip the seatpost, top-tube, and the like. If the tube is between 24 and 76mm it will fit in the jaws.
One unfortunate downside is that these jaws close quite slowly so you have to hold the bike steady in one hand while you do it – which is fine for road bikes, but more difficult for heavier mountain bikes, town bikes or tourers.
The tripod design is very stable as the upright pole leans forward into the support offered by the long, almost-horizontal legs. In cramped quarters, when a bike isn’t on the stand, you need to be careful that you don’t trip on these.
You can pack the stand down by removing the quick-release upright and folding the legs. It’s still quite bulky and it weighs 9kg, as it’s made from powder-coated steel tubing, so it’s much better living in your garage than the back of a car.

User review of Park Tools PCS9 - Home Mechanic Repair Stand
I've been using one of these for a few years and think its pretty darn good. the jaws dont take that long to close, but if you lack an once of upper body strength then you might struggle.
I would highly reccomend buying one
