The new TRSr cranks tip the scales at 510g for the arms, and 720g with a single, 34T chainring. They’re designed for use with single or double chainrings.
Chainring combinations for single-ring setups are 28, 30, 32 and 34, and the chainrings are designed to work with 10- and 11-speed drivetrains. However, unlike SRAM’s 11-speed chainring, the teeth aren’t designed to match up with the inner and outer plates of an 11-speed chain.
Double versions, CNC-machined from a single block of aluminum, will be available in November 2012 in 20/34, 22/36 and 24/38T combinations. Like the single rings, the doubles will mount directly to the crank arm – they’re secured via a lockring that employs the same proprietary interface used to install the company’s bottom brackets.
The TRSr single cranksets will retail for US$370. Doubles will go for US$400. Bottom brackets are not included.
