New mountain bike tyres - Interbike 2013

Off-road treads for all wheelsizes from Maxxis, Michelin, Schwalbe and CST

There were a number of new and updated mountain bike tyres on display at Interbike. Many of these new tyres are offered in all three wheel sizes: 26in, 27.5in and 29in - a sign of just how quickly the 650b (27.5in) wheelsize has caught on.

A common theme among tyres manufacturers for 2014 is the introduction of all-mountain tyres with reinforced casings suitable for the rough and tumble world of enduro racing. Mud tyres appear to be making a comeback as a result of the growing enduro race scene as well; both Michelin and Maxxis had new mud treads on display.
