These two hard-to-miss models share the same frame features as their more subdued counterparts.
The One 9 RDO is a stripped-down hardtail with a full carbon frame designed for use as a singlespeed or with a 1x drivetrain. BikeRadar will have a One 9 RDO under test shortly.
The SIR 9 is constructed from a blend of Reynolds tubing and can be built up as a singlespeed or with a fully-geared drivetrain. We got an up-close look at the SIR 9 last summer.
Both the One 9 RDO and SIR 9 can accommodate forks with tapered steerers, have 142x12 rear Maxle through-axles, post-mount disc brake mounts located on the chainstay, and use Niner’s BioCentric II eccentric bottom bracket.
Their bottom bracket shells are also compatible with Niner’s modular CYA bottom bracket, which has press-fit reducers to allow the user to run almost any bottom bracket system on the market, including PressFit 30, BB30, PressFit 92 and a standard threaded bottom bracket.
