The Extreme Bright Duo 2000 is a powerful, focused and well priced 'bat light' that works really well on faster, straighter trails.
With it's central 'ear' ridges and machined wings, the twin-LED EB Duo looks like it's come straight out of Gotham City, and throws an impressively consistent, rounded tunnel search light beam down the trail too.
The crude but effective broad band plastic mount stops it wobbling no matter how rough the trail gets, and the rubberised battery bag reduces frame slipping and scuffing. Its battery life is reasonable, and while you can get similar lights cheaper, the One23 has big company back-up.
The sharp edge to the beam tires eyes fast on longer rides or wet nights though, and the 'high, low, flash, off' mode sequence isn't ideal when you're trying to get from low to high power before a descent. The included long strap helmet mount is a faff too.
