Endura Roller Kit Bag £125

Wheely good luggage for velo-voyagers

BikeRadar score 4/5

Endura may have its heritage in clothing, but this neat piece of luggage is jam packed with well thought out features for weekenders or serious trippers.

The clamshell design opens up to reveal one side with a mesh covered main compartment and the other with a trio of zipped compartments to help you organise your gear, all usefully tagged. The helmet and shoe segments are padded to prevent travel damage, while the latter comes with a pullcord bag to prevent mucky footwear contaminating other kit.

We’re particularly enamoured with the pull-out, detachable foot mat that lives in a zipped pocket on the outside, enabling you to change in or out of shoes outdoors without getting your socks wet.

The main segment has mini pockets for organising gloves, glasses and socks. We’d like to have seen a properly quarantined area for keeping used clothing separate from the clean, but we ended up just stuffing it into the helmet and shoe side.

The bag is well made, with widely spaced roller skate-style wheels at the bottom, which eased dragging it through busy airports and coped happily with gravel paths at the other end. In combination with the extendable aluminium pull out handle, it was simple to control, even when loaded. Add piping to protect the nylon outer at the corners and padded covers for the compression buckles, and you’ve got something that’ll survive whatever baggage ‘handlers’ can throw at it.
