Designed and prototyped over the past two years, the single-piece DFender mudguard is built and packaged in the UK. There’s even a Union Jack sticker version.
At 160g it’s heavier than using a flap of inner tube or Neoprene between your fork crown and brace, and the multi-piece brace clamp needs a bit of care with fitting. The broad tail stops direct spray from the back of the wheel as well as spray thrown forwards and up into your face very effectively, though.
We’ve had no breakage or loosening issues on the several sets we’ve been riding through the winter. It's bloody expensive, though, and currently only available with brace clamps for Fox 32, 36 and 40 forks. (RockShox clamps are in the pipeline.)
