The front guard (£8.99) is a relatively flat and simple take on the Crud Catcher design with rubber wrap strips securing it onto the down tube. Spacer blocks mean it'll run simply with any gear cable configuration without scratching your paint too.

In contrast, the rear guard (£14.99) comes with multiple rubber plugs, flanged bits and clamshell cradle pieces. These are a fight to force together in various combinations until you get a get a good fit, but it's worth it. The resulting multi-angle clamp will fit accurately to any seatpost (assuming there's enough vertical space) and it closes with a proper zinc-plated metal QR assembly locking it all down nicely. Once on we'd leave it though, as the rubber bits can fall out if you take it on and off a lot.
The lifetime warrantied construction has proved very tough so far and it comes in black, 'titanium' and white colours. It is more expensive than the classic Crud Catcher set though.
