BikeRadar verdict
"Crash and winter protection in the same touchy-feely gloves"
Unsurprisingly for gloves from armour specialists 661, these combine weatherproofing with some impact protection in the shape of TPR back and knuckle panels. The slightly loose 'Porelle' liners make them a bit of a struggle to pull on - particularly with wet hands - but once on, they're a nice snug fit with particularly cosy neoprene collars.
The fingers are slightly sausagey but you get decent feedback through the unpadded palm, and this set-up suits the gloves' winter downhill role perfectly. The outer fingers can get chilly - particularly when the outside is soggy - but water never gets past the liners and they're generally cosy in all but the coldest weather. The terry towelling thumbs are nose friendly too, and the pricing is good for the performance.
