Altura Thermastretch | £20
BikeRadar verdict
"Impressively tough, well-priced and control-rich gloves."
Altura's neat Thermastretch gloves pack a lot of performance for the price. They feel a bit tight across the back at first, but the neoprene-style fabric moulds to your hands after a few rides and the flower petal-style palm pad design wraps nicely around the bar for good grip and feedback.
The use of slightly thicker fabric than most windproof gloves also makes them noticeably warmer and they don't get too soggy either. If you've got warm hands they'll be OK for fullon winter use if you fit the extra set of liners available (£6.99 from Zyro).
Reinforced Grip shift panels mean the gloves are long lasting and you get full fleece material on the thumbs and on the back of the hands that can cope with copious amounts of snot. The stretch fabrics mean tight sizing isn't really an issue and the pricing is very good too.
