Formula’s new big brake is an all-new unit with a monster single-piece calliper powered from a detail-packed broad bladed lever.
The slightly awkward bite point adjuster is swapped for an easy-to-use dial. External split clamp pivot makes for a solid lever feel and spring clip dislocation design reduces the chance of crash damage. It’s the best feeling brake we’ve ever used. It shrugs off the longest, steepest courses yet still weighs less than most XC brakes.
It takes patience to align, but reliability and crash proofing has been excellent so far and bleeding is super easy. The high price is more than offset if you value light weight too.
