The Maverick OSB (Offset Spoke Bed) minimizes dish for a stronger, more durable wheel, and the rim builds into a package that's strong and light for the money. Our test rim absorbed a fair amount of clumsy race abuse and general riding antics, but picked up a few minor dents along the way.

Wall thickness is chunky, with plenty of allowance for wear, and the braking surface is deep for rim brakes. Spoke eyelets and wear indicators, often missing on cheaper rims, turn what could be a basic bargain hoop into a good value package. Just don't expect to take hefty hits on it without suffering a ding or two.
