Torq Torq Bar | £1.15
BikeRadar verdict
"Formulated for power and energy, it comes in some interesting flavours"
This bar clains to be formulated for power and energy and comes in Sundried Banana, Tangy Apricot, Pineapple and Ginger, and Raspberry and Apple flavours
Our testers thought it tasted wheaty and fruity (a bit like an apricot jam sandwich), moist and easy to swallow. The bar's starch and sugars which come from oats and raisins is supplemented with maltodextrin and fructose syrup to give a concentrated dose of fast and slow release carbohydrate. The addition of ribose sugar is not to add to the carb content, but to supplement the body's own natural supply. However, well controlled research trials have not shown any clear evidence of any benefit from ribose supplementation.

Really tasty, easy to open on the bike, and fairtrade without loads of weird artificial stuff...a winner

Easy to eat on the move, how much of the boost is from the product and how much is psychological doesn't really matter as long as you feel better afterwards. Works for me.
