THE One Helmet | $358.99
BikeRadar verdict
"Works as good as it looks - and it'll make your mates jealous"
The first thing that you notice when you pick up this full-face lid is its weight: it's super light. Not surprising really, considering that it's made from hand-laid carbon fibre.
You also can't fail to be impressed by the super stylish graphics. In fact, this helmet is a serious contender to the benchmark Troy Lee D2 downhill lid; it actually weighs 1.09kg (2.5lb), very close to the D2, and it has the same great finish and quality.
The fit is very comfortable, and you have to give THE credit for the stylish Louis Vuitton-inspired liner graphics, which even extend to the plush soft leather strap. The whole inner pulls out easily for washing and refits without any problems.
The peak is solid and long enough to give good moto looks, and the jaw guard is long and slender for great peripheral vision. There are 15 vents and multiple air channels to keep your swede cool, and the dual EPS liner (a world first in MTB full-face lids - the liner is made of two linking parts that 'give' where they join) really soaks up any impacts.
Obviously, such a good looking carbon fibre helmet is going to cost you... but at £269.99 the One is actually a little cheaper than the £299 D2.
