THE F14 Helmet | $99.35
BikeRadar verdict
"If a regular trail helmet isn’t enough then look no further."
THE’s F14 looks very similar to Giro’s old Semi MX helmet, and seems to be the ideal halfway house between a full-face helmet and a piss pot-style lid.
With the moulded EPS base and a micro-shell finish, the helmet has an extended rear that offers fantastic protection for the rear of your head.
Fourteen vents and a neat visor control the air flow on the F14, and a simple retention system – along the lines of Giro’s Roc-Loc – keeps the fit secure.
Thankfully we haven’t headbutted any trees just yet, but the extra confidence the deep fit inspires is certainly a good thing.

User review of THE F14 Helmet
I have just bought the the F14 helmet from THE Industries.
If, like me, you have a massive bonce and frankly look stupid with a standard road or MTB lid on - I have some good news.
The design, with an extended rear section, totally changes the look of the helmet in comparison to a standard lid. Without the visor fitted it looks a lot like a street/skate lid but with the normal venting you'd expect in a standard mtb/road helmet. It actually makes my 61cm head look small ! The F14 XL is for sizes 60-62cm and it comes with a set of thicker liners to give you fitting options.
It is the only cycle helmet I have ever tried on that did not make me look an ars*. The added protection is not to be sniffed at of course.
I have worn the helmet a few times now and have no complaints.
