Lazer Helmets Magma Helmet | $84.99
BikeRadar verdict
"Tries very hard to overcome its aesthetic shortcomings: someone will love it"
The Magma is comfortable enough, especially when you consider the entry-level price. Fit is secure and stable thanks to a basic and effective ratchet system, with camlock buckles on the straps to keep everything cinched down tight.
Aesthetically it had few fans among our testers though. It just looks... odd.
The pads could be tougher and the peak’s a bit too long and narrow to be really effective in extreme conditions but venting is surprisingly good, with airflow getting a boost from some deep internal channels.
The whole lid is covered by the in-moulded shell, which should keep things looking tidy in the long run, and a reflective patch keeps you visible in low light.
