Eurobike off-road gallery

Hot on the heels of Truvativ's HammerSchmidt system, small German outfit Nicolai-Universal Transmissions has created their own called B-Boxx. B-Boxx uses planetary gears like HammerSchmidt but supposedly with better efficiency. This isn't ready for release yet, but we eagerly await this puppy from the producers of the G-Boxx gearbox systems. (Ian Collins)
There's always a bamboozling array of stuff to see at the Eurobike trade show in Friedrichshafen.
Our man Ian Collins, from sister mag Mountain Biking UK, has been patrolling the halls armed only with his wits and his camera. That's a scary thought.
Here's a selection of what he saw, from raw carbon and aluminium frames to an electric supermoto bike. Just click on an image to the right to open a full sized gallery.

The bare finish of Cannondale's Rize Carbon shows off what's carbon and what's aluminium.

The new four-pot Hayes Ace uses longer and re-shaped levers and four pistons for enormous stopping power - particularly if you go for the 224mm rotor!

The revolution of d3o technology continues to spread and 661 has expanded its range to include lightweight cross-country knee and elbow pads, as well as these undershorts with d3o hip protection.

The Elmoto two-wheel drive electric supermoto bike uses a 1kW motor at each end. We know the electric bike scene isn’t really us. Well this is.

There is a plethora of Euro-style carbon hardtails here and this one from Vario is a typical example with its integrated seatpost.

Is this it?
This is the extent of the MTB coverage from Eurobike?
Wow.
There must be more coming once he returns from the show, right?
