Just in: Latest helmets from Bell

By James Costley-White

Earlier this month we showed you Bell's new helmets designed by skate artist Jimbo Phillips. Well now we've got some of those lids in the office, along with a new model that's the result of a collaboration with another cult Californian brand, Paul Frank Industries.

There are five Paul Frank-designed Faction pisspots in Bell's range. Three feature the brand's trademark character, Julius the monkey, while two, including the model we've got our grubby hands on, have skull and crossbones designs.

This is the Matt Brown Scurvy Camo version. The helmet is available in three sizes and is aimed at street riders and dirt jumpers. It has 12 vents, a dual density foam liner and high impact ABS shell. Weight is around 426g, and it costs £24.99.

The Faction is also available in Jimbo Phillips designs like this 'Wallpaper' model. Prices and specs are the same.

And here's the Jimbo Phillips Sequence cross-country lid, at £79.99. Look out for reviews of these helmets on BikeRadar soon.

  • Your thinking cap wouldn't last long with the ventilation here on the blue ones - more like a skid-lid than a helmet - I prefer my Bell Red one with twenty-seven large holes and mesh covering - now that is cool in hot weather and belting up a hill!
