KTM to launch mountain bike range in the UK

The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM are set to launch their range of mountain bikes in the UK at the London Cycle Show in October.

Ric McLaughlin from sister magazine MBUK recently paid a visit to the KTM factory to take a closer look at the bikes, and initial impressions are positive.

And from what Ric saw in Austria, the company is committed to making serious machines equipped with top componentry. The Tribute downhill bike, for example, is equipped with a Fox DHX 4.0 rear shock, Marzocchi 888 RCV fork, Shimano Saint chainset and Avid Code brakes.

At the other end of the scale, the Score Prestige full suspension race bike is the top model in the range with a DT Swiss SSD Carbon rear shock, DT Swiss XRC-100 RL forks, Shimano XTR takes care of the shifting, and XTR discs look after the stopping.
