Mini downhill race in the Forest of Dean

By BikeRadar

A mini downhill race is being held at the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England, on Sunday, 7 December.

Aimed at those who want an introduction to downhill riding, the course will be short and fun, but challenging to ride at full speed.

Each competitor will get two timed-runs, and the winner will be the rider with the fastest single time in each category.

Categories are: Juvenile - age 12-14; Youth - 15-16; Senior - 17-29; Master - 30+; Pro-Am - open to any experienced racers, pro or semi-pro.

Race organiser Chris Roberts said: "There are hundreds of people who ride at the Forest of Dean who have never raced, so we’ve brought a race to their local track."

Practice will be held from 9am-10.45am and the racing will start at 11am.

  • Wasn't expecting it to be *that* mini. none of the top tracks even get a look in. Might well give it a go though.
