Point-to-point event on UK's best trails

The 2009 TransWales is a point-to-point mountain bike event that takes place over seven days and involves 344 miles of riding.

The event, which follows in the footsteps of famous mountain bike stage events like the TransAlp and TransRockies will take in the very best manmade and natural trails on offer in the area starting at Builth Wells and taking in Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Cwmystwyth, Cilycwm, Llansawel and Llanwrtyd Wells.

Most of the special stages will take place as ‘within’ stages and not necessarily at designated trail centres, which aims to give the event more flexibility when it comes to the start and finish or camping locations. The night special stage will still be run at a trail centre.

We'll be keeping you updated with every stage of the TransWales 2009 event.
