Tracy Moseley came direct from a fine win at the First round of the World Cup to take the honours at the Chain Reaction NPS race at Innerleithen, and Marc Beaumont won too, following his podium place in Vigo, but the absence of Steve Peat, all three Athertons and Neil Donoghue at the Lisbon Downtown (Steve and Rachel won) gave the rest of the podium a fresh look.
Tom Braithwaite, son of the climber and a discovery of Giant's Rob Warner, had a great run to finish ahead of SA Pro Andrew Neethling, followed by Lee Bertram and Tom Deacon. These five elbowing out the more celebrated likes of Dave Wardell, Ben Reid, not to speak of Warner and MBUK/Santa Cruz Capitano, Will Longden, in 10th.

Emily Horridge followed Tracy home, albeit by 30 seconds.
