The 8th Annual Worst Day of the Year Ride in Portland, OR is February 15, 2009, celebrating Oregon's worst weather ever recorded in 1933.

The ride, sponsored by SKS USA, features an 18-mile urban tour and 40-mile challenge route in one of the world's top cycling cities. The 3,000 participants will have five stops along the route for warm drinks, snacks, soup and brew.
An estimated 1,500 participants will arrive at the event in costume to be awarded a free SKS X-Tra Dry fender.
The Worst Day of the Year Ride benefits the Community Cycling Center, a non-profit founded in 1994, whose goal it is to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits through hands-on programs, volunteer projects, and neighborhood bike shops.
