We know plenty of cyclists like a bargain, and many are feeling the pinch of the credit crunch, so Aldi’s cycle clothing and accessories should give you reason for cheer.

From Thursday (7 May) the budget supermarket chain will be selling bike kit suitable for commuters, beginners and anyone else in the market for some cheap gear.

The soft shell jacket has reflective prints and will be available for £16.99, and the packable £12.99 fluro yellow 'ultra light' jacket will be good for emergency downpours and keeping you visible.
