Marc Beaumont continued his run of form at Angel Fire, New Mexico on Sunday when he came home sixth in round six of the Downhill World Cup, and once again claiming the title, Best of the Brits. The young MBUK/Santa Cruz rider is having a super season and is now up into ninth position in the overall. Also in the top ten - just - was Gee Atherton who is now up to eighth in the overall. Dave Wardell is also working his way up the standings, coming 22nd in Angel Fire, three spots ahead of Neil Donoghue.
First place in the Men's race went to South African Greg Minaar who can now relax, safe in the knowledge that he can't be caught in the overall season standings adding a second Downhill World CUp Champion title to the one he won in 2001.

In the women's DH championship leader Sabrina Jonnier got the win with the UK's Tracey Moseley in third, consolidating her second place in the overall, 100 points behind Jonnier.
Also in the top ten was Fionn Griffiths and Helen Gaskell just missed out, coming 11th.

In the men's XC Phil Spencer came 20th, first of the Brits and nine places ahead of Liam Killeen. Christophe Sauser came first closely followed by Geoff Kabush, the Canadian Champion.
