PIC BY TDWSPORT.COM Mike Anderson, Lance Armstrong's former personal assistant, has alleged in counterclaim court documents that he found steroids in the Tour de France champion's bathroom, according to reports in Friday's Austin American-Statesman and an Associated Press report. Armstrong started proceedings against Anderson in December last year after the former personal assistant began proceedings to sue Armstrong for half a million dollars after he claimed that his contract of employment, set out in an e-mail, had been broken. According to Armstrong's legal team, that contract could be broken at any time. According to the Austin American-Statesman, Anderson's lawyer, Hal Gillespie, said the half a million proposal was no longer "on the table". In an Associated Press report, Anderson claimed in the court papers that he was working for Armstrong, cleaning his bathroom in his apartment in Spain in "early 2004", when he found a white box, which didn't have a doctor's prescription on it. Anderson claims to have looked up the trademark name on the internet and discovered that what he had found was an 'androgen' - a form of male hormone used to build muscle mass - which was on the list of banned substances on both the US Anti-Doping Agency and World Anti-Doping Agency web sites. According to both reports, Anderson also claims in the court document that in a conversation with Armstrong about drug-use in 2004, the American Tour winner told him that "everyone does it". "I had no desire whatsoever to come out with this stuff,'' Anderson said, referring to speaking out about finding the steroid, according to the AP report. "I sought a settlement and then they sued me. If somebody wants to say I want to get money out of it, they're insulting my intelligence.''
