2004 world road champion Judith Arndt has confirmed that she is joining the T-Mobile women's squad that finished the 2005 US season as the number one-ranked team. The German telecoms company has given a commitment to back the team through to the end of the 2008 season and to compete in more events on the international calendar, which has tempted Arndt away from the world's number one team, Nuernberger Versicherung.
Arndt will join American Kristin Armstrong and Germany's Ina Teutenberg in an extremely strong line-up that is likely to threaten Nuernberger's leading position during 2006. T-Mobile is also being linked with a move for a number of British riders, including Nicole Cooke, runner-up in the world road championship in Madrid this year.
