The results of Barclays 'London by Bike' photography competition have now been revealed, with winners and runners-up in both the amateur and professional categories. More than 1,000 people entered the contest via Facebook, where they were asked to submit an image that reflected cycling in the UK capital.
Islington's Thomas Casey was the winning professional photographer, with his shot of a road cyclist in Richmond Park (right). He was closely followed by runner-up Dan Chippenham, who snapped this cycling couple by the Millenium Bridge.
Elsewhere, Kris Matyskiewicz, from Watford, won the amateur competition after capturing a silhouetted cyclist against Big Ben and the London Eye (below). Emily Dimmock and Florian Sokoll were both crowned runners-up.

The lucky winners will each receive a luxury cycling package from Barclays, including £1,500 of kit, a stay at a five-star hotel and a meal at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Their shots will also be given away as postcards in 300 banks across London and the south-east.
"As the sponsor of Barclays Cycle Hire and Barclays Cycle Superhighways we are committed to improving how people travel around the capital, and are delighted with the success of the 'London by Bike' competition," said Ashok Vaswani, chief executive of Barclays UK retail and business banking. "The standard of entries celebrating cycling in London was outstanding and I'd like to congratulate the winners, and look forward to seeing their images across our branches."
