Now, you too have the chance to take part, as we launch the open dual slalom race, taking place on Sunday 11 July.
After watching the pro riders on Saturday night, why not give it a go yourself on the course made by Will
Take on your mates (or complete strangers!) going head to head in the high-adrenaline knockout event, with prizes for the top three in each category as well as spot prizes for those just taking part for fun.
Entry is just £10 and there are three categories: Senior (19+)*, Junior (15-18)** and Women (15+)**. All riders will have a one-hour practice session on the track followed by a timed run in each lane.
This will be used to calculate a qualifying time, which will determine who you race against in the knockout rounds. In these, each pair of riders will go head to head, doing a run in each lane. The fastest goes through; the slowest is out. This continues until only two riders remain, for the Grand Final.
- Practice: 9-10am
- Timed qualifying: 10.30am-12pm
- Final knockout rounds: 1-2.30pm
