172 members took part in the February Hardriders Challenge, which lived up to its name, proving to be the hardest challenge to date on BikeRadar Training. In the end, 36 members climbed more than 10,000m during February to qualify for the main prize draw.
We're pleased to announce that this month's main prize draw winners are Redvision (who wins a winter jacket from www.probikekit.com), Greg Turnbull (a Ride skull cap from www.ridebosh.com), toncro (who wins a gilet from www.crewroom.biz), professormoptop (a pair of Vapour-X midweight leggings, also from www.crewroom.biz) and Eric Foltz (a pair of performance leg warmers from www.probikekit.com).
In the spot prize competitions, the person who logged the most metres of climbing in any one ride (GPS entries only) was Frank Healy HSW, who wins a T-shirt – 4,329m of climbing in a ride of 80.5 miles lasting 6hrs 44mins. Looks as though Frank did multiple hill repeats! He also topped the overall climbing leaderboard. Special mention should also go to MEGood, who rode the second and third hilliest rides.
In the Hardriders photo competition, 10 photos were shortlisted and went forward to the public vote on Facebook. The three images with the most votes were by j.atk, Chris Dodd and CarlosDSanchez, who all take a T-shirt.
97 members took part in the February Turbo Challenge, aimed at riders living in flat areas who were clearly at an obvious disadvantage in this month’s main Hardriders Challenge! Turbo riding has been a hot topic of debate on BikeRadar Training in recent weeks, so we knew people would respond competitively…
The 10 riders who logged the most hours on a turbo or indoor bike during February were entered into a prize draw to win three exclusive BikeRadar T-shirts. We're pleased to announce that this month's winners are chris104, telby and cloggsy.
Special mention should also go to Chris Bass, who topped the leaderboard with an epic 70.2 hours of turbo riding (that’s an average of 2.5 hours per day)!
