Blog: Beyond the Armstrong era?

Uncertainty in the Tour since 2006.

American Lance Armstrong ruled the roads of France from 1999 to 2005, and while there was plenty of drama at times, Big Tex was always the clear favourite heading into the month of July.

Since Floyd Landis was found to have used testosterone to win in 2006, and yellow jersey wearer Michael Rasmussen was booted from his own team with days remaining in the 2007 Tour, there seems to be just as much uncertainty about who the clear favourites are for 2008.

Procycling's editor Peter Cossins hashes out his thoughts on Armstrong the racer and Armstrong the magazine-selling face, in addition to introducing a rather humorous Dutch television advert from our Procycling counterparts in the land of wooden clogs and tulips. Click here to read Cossins' blog.
