Blog: Bicycles in Beijing

The pomp and circumstance that is the Beijing Olympics is coming to an end for Procycling's Ellis Bacon, but oh what a delightful time it was for Great Britain at the Laoshan Velodrome. Ellis also found the scene outside the velodrome to be equally interesting, if not a bit curious.

For starters, it's no secret that among the billions of people in China there are billions of bikes. Also, the much-hyped smog and heat had more of an affect on the men's road race than any other cycling event, Bacon noticed.
