Blog: Bicycling, from a teen's view

By Gary Boulanger, US editor

Taylor Phinney was blessed with super-cycling genes. The 17-year-old American track sensation, bound for the Beijing Olympics in August, is setting world records nearly every time he sets foot on the track these days. It helps to be the son of Tour de France stage winner Davis and his Olympic champion wife, Connie. But as another teenager sees it, bicycling doesn't always have to be about racing.

What does one do if they're born with a non-competitive gene? Musician, writer, bicyclist and middle schooler Henri Boulanger, himself a product of good Belgian and French stock, elaborates in his first blog for BikeRadar here.
