Crdit Agricole's Laszlo Bodrogi has announced that he is planning to make an attempt on Ondrej Sosenka's world hour record in Bordeaux in September.

The Hungarian Bodrogi will be advised by former hour record holder Chris Boardman, who held the record for five seasons before it was broken by the Czech Sosenka in Moscow last year. Sosenka's mark stands of 49.70km.

Bodrogi is planning his attempt for mid-September, a week before the World Time Trial Championship takes place in Salzburg. The Hungarian, 29, is also targeting this title.

"Laszlo will do tests in a wind tunnel, but will focus on the road for the first part of the season," said Crdit Agricole team boss Roger Legeay. "After the Tour de France, assuming he is selected, he will focus completely on the hour record."
