A group of English ex-footballers is doing a charity ride through Pyrenees to raise money for breast cancer research. The 12 man group is calling itself BOOBS - Boys out on Bikes, and has set targets of 1,200 miles and £100,000 to achieve its goals.
The charity ride is being led by Scotland and Liverpool footballer Gary McAllsiter, who lost his wife Denise to breast cancer at the age of 38. Others in the group include ex-England internationals Tony Dorigo and Russell Osman.
The ride started at Wembley Stadium in the UK on May 20 and will finish at La Manga Club in Spain. So far, the lads have passed through England and France, calling at Caen, Alencon, Saumur, Blanzat and Porcheres en route to the Pyrenees. They aim to reach La Manga Club by next weekend.
