Former On-One Bikes designer Brant Richards has named his new brand Tweak Bikes, and introduced his new Ragley Ti mountain frame to boot.
Ragley is a wood in Hebden Bridge that's one of Richards' favourite trails runs through.
"I cried a little when I unboxed the two preproduction models that were waiting for me when I got back from Taiwan," Richards told BikeRadar Tuesday. "So great to see product in the metal when it's been in my head or on paper so recently.
"We've been working hard since the beginning of February and our first model, the Ragley Ti, is scheduled to hit the factory floor at Lynskey Performance in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Friday. With fingers crossed, we should see production product, for sale in 4 weeks or less."
Tweak Bikes product will be distributed to the world through the distributor Hotlines. According to Richards, Hotlines already supply several US dealers for those American customers interested in buying a Ragley Ti.
"We'll be interested in talking to overseas dealers who want to get in on the new brand," he added.
According to Richards, Tweak are also in the final stages of agreeing terms with the UK's largest bespoke dried meat manufacturer to allow us to offer our own range of dried meat products "though he's not got back to me since yesterday yet."
