04/10/06

The UK's finest downhill riders will hit the streets of Bridgnorth in Shropshire on Sunday 15th October to compete against the clock on a short downhill track, which will take in the steps and streets of the town.

Many top riders have already been confirmed for this urban downhill extravaganza including Gee and Dan Atherton, Dave Wardell and Scott Beaumont. Steve Peat, Marc Beaumont Neil Donaghue, Rob Warner and Martin Ogden are to be confirmed.

The course, which has taken over twelve months to organise, will start in the high town and finishes in the low town after winding its way down two very steep steps and emerging on the river front for a sprint finish to the line.

Entrants will battle it out for a prize money fund of £1000 cash and £2000 worth of products. The town's rugby club will be open during and after the event to keep spectators fully refreshed.
