Some hate it, others love it, but one thing's for sure, Paris-Roubaix never leaves you indifferent. For Fabian Cancellara there are no doubts, it's simply the Swiss rider's dream race, and the races leading up to it have mostly been in preparation for going through 'the Hell of the North', writes Susanne Horsdal. Even finishing sixth in last Sunday's Tour of Flanders hasn't mixed up his emotions.

"De Ronde gave me the morale I needed, whereas Ghent-Wevelgem was purely preparation for Paris-Roubaix. Over these past two races I've felt my form has been really good and I feel very confident before Paris-Roubaix," said the CSC rider on Saturday. He'll be heading the Danish squad, with Lars Michaelsen in a free role.

"He's a bit of an expert on this race and he's found us a good parcours to train on," explained 25-year-old Cancellara, who last year finished eighth, but fared even better in 2004 when he ended in fourth spot.

Michaelsen's experience will undoubtedly be valuable to the young Swiss, but the Dane, who'll be riding his 11th Paris-Roubaix, also has hopes for the race. He doesn't hesitate in describing it as the most important race day of the year for him and hopes to improve his fifth spot from last year.
