Catalunya 5: Francesco Chicchi wins sprint

Italy's Francesco Chicchi of the Liquigas team won the sprint finish in the 163.9km fifth stage of the Tour of Catalonia on Saturday between El Vendrell and Palleja, while France's Remi Pauriol retained the overall lead.
On the line, Chicchi edged out Colombian Leonardo Duque who had launched the sprint finish. In the closing kilometres, Spain's Josep Jufre, who is only two seconds behind Pauriol overall, did his best to try and make up that deficit but was not successful.
Sunday's sixth and final stage takes the riders on a 124km stretch between Palleja and Barcelone.
